Fortunate Families Card Game Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

This promotion is run by Harding Financial Ltd, The Estate Yard, East Shalford Lane, Guildford, GU4 8AE, United Kingdom. Harding Financial Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) with firm reference number 555911.

2. Eligibility

In playing Fortunate Families, each time you complete a Cardholder Challenge and for as long as prize draws are in operation (see our schedule of draws, above), you are eligible to enter our star prize draw. The prize draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over. Younger players may take part only under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian, who must submit any entry on their behalf. Employees of Harding Financial, their immediate families, agents or anyone professionally connected with this promotion are excluded. Entries must be made in a personal capacity; group, syndicate or automated submissions are not permitted. If prize draws are no longer in operation (see our schedule of draws, above), you may continue playing Fortunate Families, but completed Cardholder Challenges will not result in prize draw entries.

3. No purchase necessary

Playing Fortunate Families and entering the prize draw costs nothing. Possessing a deck, scanning a QR code or completing a Cardholder Challenge creates no obligation to purchase Harding services. If you'd like to receive a set of Fortunate Families playing cards, please let us know by contacting us using the details provided on this website.

4. How to enter

Play the game and complete a “Cardholder Challenge” printed on any Fortunate Families card. Scan that card’s QR code and fill in the online form, providing your name, phone number, email address, confirmation of the specific challenge you completed and acceptance of these Terms. Each validated form counts as one entry in the currently open prize draw. See our schedule of draws, above. You may enter multiple times per draw so long as each entry relates to a different Cardholder Challenge completed. Duplicate submissions of the same Challenge by the same person will be discarded.

5. Prizes

For each draw, there are advertised prizes. See our schedule of draws, above. Prizes are non-transferable, not for resale and no cash alternative will be offered. If circumstances beyond our control require us to vary a prize, we will substitute an item of equal or greater value.

6. Winner selection and notification

A randomised draw, observed by an independent person, will take place within ten working days of each prize draw closing date. Winners will be contacted using their provided phone number and/or email address provided within five working days of the draw. If a winner does not respond within 14 days we will redraw once and keep doing so until the prize is claimed by an entrant within their 14 day window. We may conduct verification checks (see below) to make sure winners are eligible for the prize (see below).

7. Verification

We may request proof of age, identity and evidence of completion of the relevant Cardholder Challenge. Harding’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. Liability and fairness

Harding is not responsible for entries lost, corrupted or delayed, or for network or technical failures. We may disqualify any entry we reasonably believe to be fraudulent or in breach of these Terms.

9. Data protection

Harding Financial Ltd is the data controller for the personal information you provide. We process your data to run the promotion (legitimate interests) and, if you opt in, to send you marketing communications (consent). Data is stored on secure UK/EU servers and retained for 12 months after the final prize is fulfilled, after which it is deleted or anonymised. You may withdraw consent or exercise your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection) by emailing [email protected]. 10. Financial-promotion and advice disclaimer
All information on the cards and associated QR-linked pages is general guidance only and does not constitute personal advice. Investment values can fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you invest. Tax treatment depends on personal circumstances and may change. 11. Publicity
We may ask winners for permission to use their personal information in marketing material. Consent is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time without affecting your prize.

12. Changes and termination
We reserve the right to amend or cancel this promotion on reasonable notice if required for legal, regulatory or security reasons. Any changes will appear here at www.hardingfinancial.co.uk/cardgame.

13. Governing law and complaints
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Complaints should be sent to [email protected] or to The Compliance Officer at the address in Section 1. If unresolved, you may refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
